Finally! After fighting against Sweden's powerful defence for 80 minutes, Romario (blue shirt far right) met a cross from Jorginho to head home the winning goal and book Brazil's place in the final.

^ Italy VS Bulgaria 2-1

struggled big time against the well organized and clever Italian defence. Emil Kostadinov is helpless against Dino Baggio and Costacurta. Maldini is hovering as support if needed.

^ Roberto Baggio scored two goals against Bulgaria here in the semifinal and lived up to the standard expected from him before the tournament. The media back home had criticized him after the first round, but in the knock-out stages he had scored matchwinning goals against Nigeria, Spain and here Bulgaria.
